Eastwood Wong

August 9, 2017

I have never been one to understand high-end fashion, but the way Eastwood Wong illustrates anime/manga characters in luxury brand clothing, I can't help but swoon over it. If you haven't heard of Eastwood Wong, you might have seen some of this work on tumblr. He is a San Francisco based artist, and as stated earlier, has changed up the fashion illustration game by drawing fashion pieces on anime/manga characters. His work is so unique and absolutely beautiful that it has even been featured in Vogue Italia!

The reason I am writing this post is because I recently ordered his Eden pin and it inspired me to tell the world to stop sleeping on him, and to also show my appreciation for his work.. If you're interested in supporting Eastwood Wong and purchasing one of these pins you can buy them on his Storenvy Website! Be sure to check out his Society 6 page as well if you're interested in buying prints for your room or for a friend! He also has an illustration book called "Violent Pink" available for sale as well, with plans for a second book to be released some time in 2018.

The "Violent Pink" Book is on sale for $30 (unsigned). To me it looks like his work is very Sailor Moon inspired and that's probably what attracted me to it in the first place.  Can't get enough Violent Pink? Check out the Violent Pink Tumblr !
And speaking of Sailor Moon he even has a few photos of Sailor Moon characters in Gucci, Elie Saab, and Alexcander McQueen.

Pictured here is Eastwood's drawing of  Anthy Himemiya in Alexander McQueen Spring 2007 Sarabande Collection and below is the dress in real life. I just think it is pure talent to do what he does and take something from real life and make it look just as beautiful in a drawing. I'm seriously jealous.
