Bumble and Bumble : Influenster Vox Box

August 30, 2017

I was recently sent this Bumble and Bumble Pret-a-PowderDry Shampoo from Influenster and I thought it was so cool that I was actually sent something for free to review! I recently just joined Influenster after being on the fence about it for a couple months now. If you haven't heard of Influenster, they are a website/app that anyone can join to review good/bad products that they have tried. Basically they're the "Yelp!" for beauty products, skincare, books, anything really. What's great about Influenster is that anyone can also be a candidate to be sent free items to review! Seriously, there is no cost or forms of payment for you to be a member and I'm lowkey addicted. Whenever I have a bit of downtime I go on the Influenster app and just write a short, simple review of a product.

I rarely wash my hair throughout the week, I want to say no more than twice a week, so I basically live off dry shampoo. I tested the Bumble and Bumble dry shampoo and it did a really phenomenal job of absorbing any excess oil I had in my hair and made my hair look completely refreshed. The one fallback to this is that I didn't get much volume after using it. I would say this doesn't compare to the volumizing power of the Living Proof Dry Shampoo (which is my favorite dry shampoo to date.) Ultimately this dry shampoo is advertised more for absorbing oil than volumizing, as you can see stated on the bottle it offers to "lightly volumize." So if you're on the market for a dry shampoo to mainly refreshen your roots without creating a giant puff ball on your head, then I would suggest checking this out! It retails for $30 for this full size (3.1 oz) and $14 for the travel size (0.85 oz)

I do like that this offers UV protection because sometimes we forget that our hair needs protection from the sun too! It also applies clear so you don't have to worry about getting a white-cast into your hair. The product does have a scent to it that lingers a little after applying, I sprayed a little too much into my hair one day and it gave me a slight headache. Lastly, I'm not 100% sure if this product is cruelty-free. On the Bumble and Bumble website they state that they "do not test on animals, unless required by law." They are also owned by Estee Lauder, which is a brand/company that does test on animals.

Thank you again, Influenster for sending me this product to try out! If you want to be sent free products to review while also joining a community of other friendly reviewers make an account on Influenster now! Also bring Influenster wherever you go by downloading the app in the App Store.
