Another favorites coming at you guys! These past couple of weeks have been so crazy! I started a new job and also I've been getting ready for my trip to New York and my mind is just all over the place. But through all the chaos I still managed to pull through and find the time to gather up some of the things that I've been loving recently.

  1. Lush Cosmetic Warrior Mask $8.95: You can never go wrong with the masks and Lush. I love that majority of them are Vegan and Cruelty-Free! I've been having a lot of trouble with my skin lately. I've been getting a lot of break outs and the overall texture just has not been flattering. So when I was out shopping for a mask, the associate at Lush recommended this to me and I swear this was a life saver! The smell is a little overbearing at first because the two main ingredients are tea tree oil and ginger, but you adapt to it and it's not so bad. I would use this mask right after I hop out of the shower, so my pores would be open and the mask would absorb into my skin better. Not to mention it feels great against your hot skin since this mask has to be refrigerated, so applying something cold right after the shower just feels heavenly. I'd leave it on for about 20-25 minutes and my skin would feel and look so refreshed and clarified. It helped calm down my skin so much and it's already on my list of things I need to repurchase!
  2. Milk Makeup Lip and Cheek in "Perk" + Milk Makeup Bronzer in "Baked" $24 each : I was never a person to wear blush because my skin already suffered from a lot of natural redness, so I wanted to make sure my face was always "cooled down," if that makes any sense. But I got my hands on a mini-sized lip and cheek product from Milk Makeup and it ended up being a part of my everyday makeup routine! I used to be reluctant to wear blush because I was always using too much and ended up looking sunburned, but with this a little goes a long way! The color is perfect for that healthy glow
  3. Anastasia Brow Wiz in Granite $21: I know, I super late to the game with this product and I seriously don't know why it took me so long to finally come around and try this out. My brows have seriously never looked better ever since I used this. And the color matches my brows perfectly! I don't want to ramble too much about this product because I'm sure all of you out there have already heard about this and how much of a game changer it is for brows. This is perfect for those who have brows, but find themselves with some sparser areas that just need a quick fill in.
  4. Forever 21 Faux Leather Sandals: I have been on the hunt for a pair of sandals that I could quickly slip in and out of when I'm in a rush. My other slide sandals got ruined because I left them out in the rain, so it was time to find a replacement pair. I found these strappy ones at Forever 21 and got them for 30% off! I like that they can be dressed up or down and were super inexpensive!
  5. Bando Planner // Pink Skies Up Ahead Print // Not Without My Coffee Tee: So I decided to keep these three together because they're all from Shop Bando, and I am absolutely in love with all that I got from them. I have been wanting one of their planners for the absolute longest, and I felt it was time that I get one, especially since I'm finishing up with my current planner. I have always been the type of person who needs to write things down. This planner is so much fun because of all the cool illustrations and quirky little quotes throughout the pages. // The "Pink Skies Up Ahead" print was something I instantly fell in love with and just had to have it. My favorite time of the day is both sunrise and sunset because that's when the skies start to turn this pink and orange color, and it's just so calming. So to have this hanging up in my wall and reading the saying just puts me at ease. // The "Not Without My Coffee" T-shirt is exactly how I feel every morning when I have to get up for work. I have a love-hate relationship with coffee because I love drinking it but hate how dependent I can be on it. This shirt is perfect for days where you just wanna lounge around the house and watch Netflix all day or for just a casual night out!
  6. The Boss Baby: I watched this movie the other day with my little brother and mom, and I was delightfully surprised at how much I actually enjoyed it. The preview didn't win me over, and I didn't really expect much from the movie, but I found myself genuinely liking it. It's a great movie for family night! And I admit, it had me going through baby fever for a little bit. Overall super creative plot, although most people would say the ending was kind of predictable. But I love how the main character, Timmy, is super creative and imaginative, and the Boss Baby is just so adorable in his little suit.
  7. Charlie Puth "Attention": Low-Key a big fan of Charlie Puth, and his current song has my undivided attention. I have probably listened to it on repeat for days straight and I'm still not tired of it. It's super catchy and I can't help but sing along to it.
  8. Drybar Detox Dry Conditioner: If you're someone like me that has super dry and coarse hair, and also prefers to not wash their hair every day, then dry shampoo is probably one of your best friends. BUT dry shampoo doesn't really come in handy when your ends are dry, sure it helps draw out the extra oils in your scalp but that's about it. So what do you do? Use a dry conditioner of course! I don't know why it hasn't dawned on me sooner that there was such a thing! I was introduced to this product when watching Melissa Alatore's Snapchat story, and she mentioned this! I love how soft my hair feels after I wash and condition it, but again I am one of those people who don't wash their hair every day, but I can get that same "just washed my hair" softness by spritzing this into my ends and voila! Freshly "conditioned" hair.
  9. Muji House Instagram: An Instagram account that I cannot stop creeping on is Muji House. This feed is basically all I want for my future home to be. It's super minimal and clean looking and I get so much inspiration from them. If you want to give them a follow go check out their Instagram account @mujihouse!

And that is what I have been into lately! Beyond thrilled to be leaving for New York tomorrow, It's been over three months since I last saw Anthony and it has been killing me. I almost even forgot that I had a boyfriend for a moment, I'm just so used to seeing him through FaceTime that it's weird to think that he's an actual physical-being. We are celebrating out three year anniversary and we're going to see John Legend! Fun things ahead and I can't wait, and seriously already don't want it to end. Of course I will be vlogging and blogging the trip so stay tuned for all that! Hopefully will be getting a new laptop soon, so I can edit my vlogs better (or not, who knows. I have some faith in myself haha)

The first day of summer has officially come and gone and the heat has definitely made it's way to Nashville! And with summer comes a lot of planned trips! Of course I am doing my annual trip to New York to see Anthony to celebrate our anniversary, so I was inspired to come up with a list of things that I feel are essential items to having a fun and safe summer! So if you're planning on taking a vacation or a trip somewhere this summer, but don't really have an idea of what to pack, keep on reading and hopefully this post will help you out!

  1. Sunscreen : It's a no-brainer to pack a sunscreen/sunblock during the warmer and sunnier seasons. Ever since I got my tattoos I always made sure to put sunscreen on before leaving the house, but I never realized that I was forgetting to apply sunscreen to the most important part of my body, my face! If you're big on skincare and preventing premature aging, applying a sunscreen to your face and neck is a must! Coincidentally enough Glossier just released their Invisible Shield Sunscreen just in time for summer, and just in time for me to want to start going the extra mile with taking care of my skin.
  2. Dry Shampoo: With the humidity and heat, your scalp is going to get oily but washing your hair every day does more harm than good. So opting for a dry shampoo is the way to go, especially if you don't have the time to go through the whole hair-washing process! Dry shampoos are going to be your best friends during the hotter seasons for sure!
  3. Comfy + Cute Everyday Sandals: Having a pair of sandals that you can just easily slip in and out of is a must-have for me. Owning a pair that can basically go with everything is my closest is an added bonus. So if I were to shop for a pair of versatile sandals that I can dress up or down I usually tend to go for something strappy and in the color black. With it being a bit more strappy, it's not so boring but not too in your face either. And because black is a neutral color and goes with just about anything and everything.
  4. A Good Read: With traveling, you'll find yourself stuck in either a plane or on a long car ride, so having a good read handy will make your travels a bit more pleasurable and tolerable to say the least. Whether it be one of your favorite magazines or a book you don't mind reading over and over, having a physical book compared to your phone screen is a bit more "authentic," not to mention probably a lot better for your eyes. Also with books or magazines you don't have to worry about whether or not your have wifi or service to connect to!
  5. Eyebrow Product: If I was on a deserted island and could only bring one makeup product with me, of course it would be my handy-dandy eyebrow pencil. In the summer time, especially, I try to let my skin breathe as much as possible, not to mention I'm a bit self-conscious of my face being lighter than the rest of my body. So I try to equally give both my face and body the same amount of sun exposure possible. Not to mention letting my skin and my pores breathe is always refreshing! But I most definitely, if anything, have to have my brows done! So yeah my acne scars may be more visible than usual, but as long as my brows are on fleek, I'm a-okay.
  6. Night-Time Serum: After a long day of sun exposure, sweat, and humidity it's nice to wash it all away then treat your skin to a night time serum. One of my all-time favorites (no surprise) is the Sunday Riley Luna Oil. I finally ran out of my full sized bottle, and I want to say it lasted me for almost 2 years. I strongly stand by this product and I love using this after a long day of work and when my skin really needs a pick me up. Ten times out of ten I always wake up with my skin looking more supple, healthier, and glowy!
  7. Camera: Summer time is the time to make the most memories! You have more free-time and are bound to go out more so taking pictures is a must! I am a big advocate on taking pictures of everything and anything for any occasion and love looking back on photos/videos I took from certain time periods. To make things more "surprising" I suggest getting a polaroid camera! Having a physical copy of a photo just makes the moment a bit more genuine, in a sense. I love how polaroids have made a comeback and having access to a polaroid camera is easier than ever! I have the Fuji Instax Mini 7, but I recommend getting the latest version (Fuji Instax Mini 9) because it has a selfie-mirror on the front so that way you don't waste film getting the perfect selfie/shot.
  8. Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is a big must for the summer! Nothing can kill your summer fun more than dehydration or worse, a heat stroke. Using a reusable glass bottle is an easy way to make sure you're always hydrated. Also with it being glass, it's good for you and the environment! You can find reusable (it doesn't have to be glass) bottles almost anywhere like Target or even Ross and TJ Maxx!
  9. Cash: I like to carry a couple bills around in my wallet because sometimes there are places, especially if you're visiting somewhere new, that may not accept card. So having some extra cash on you always comes in handy!
  10. An open-mind: And to have a good summer, always keep an open mind! You never know the possibilities that summer has in store for you. But trust your gut and make good choices!
And those are all of what I feel are essential to pack when going on a mini-vacation or road trip this summer. I admit, summer is one of my least favorite seasons because of how hot and humid it can be (not to mention all the bugs!) However I also low-key love summer because the days are longer and it's nice and sunny! Hope summer is treating you all well and that you all make the most of your summer this year! Stay hydrated and have tons of fun!

It's that time of year again where Bath and Body Works has their semi-annual sale. It started a couple days ago and I just so happened to be at the mall. I couldn't resist and ended up walking out with so many goodies! If you want good deals on some body lotions, sprays, and candles be sure to go before the sale ends! It is going on both in stores and online until July 5th, so there's plenty of time, but I wouldn't wait too long or else all the good stuff might be gone! Almost everything is 50-75% off!

I got three candles and two body products. If you know me, I absolutely love lemon, hence "the lemon honey" title in my sidebar. I got one lemon scented candle and the two body products are both their "Limoncello" scent. Anthony's mom got me the "Limoncello" candle a while back and it's been one of my favorite smells to date!

The other two candles I got is the Strawberry Mimosa and Stress Relief candle. The Strawberry Mimosa candle is a subtle sweet smell that isn't too overpowering. If you like the sweet scent of strawberries check this one out! I am seriously debating about buying ten more of the Stress Relief one, because it is such a calming and relaxing scent andI feel so at ease every time I light this candle. I absolutely love walking into my room and having my room filled with its scent. I know Bath and Body works rarely ever have sales for their therapeutic products, so being able to snag a couple of their candles for half off is such a steal!

Treat yourself to some candles and body products while the sale is still going on! Seriously cannot beat these prices. Also a little added bonus is that their body products are claiming to be not tested on animals! I don't think they're vegan, but just knowing the products aren't tested on animals is still a good thing!

We are well into June, but I'm going to take you guys back to what I did in the month of May. Trying to attempt to vlog more often! Instead of a daily/weekly vlog I decided to try to at least have a monthly vlog. The month of May flew by soooo fast, and so much happened! If you haven't subscribed to my channel and would like to be more up to date with my videos, then go subscribe now! I'm still in disbelief that I saw Tears For Fears and Hall and Oates live in concert! As you can see in the vlog, I was literally crying.

Some other highlights of last month include:
  • My cousin and friends graduating
  • Getting a second job
  • Being attacked by a bird....TWICE
  • China Lights
  • My friend Britton leaving for the Marines
  • Meeting Jason Brown!

I also had some of my brackets on my braces readjusted, causing me to have a lisp for a couple days, you might be able to notice it in the vlog. I hope you guys enjoy watching it! And look forward to seeing more! I am also working on a huge "throwback" vlog aka a compilation of videos that I never got around to edit hence me making a long overdue vlog of clips from way back when.
