Unfortunately with trips, they always have to come to an end. Thursday was my last day in New York. Anthony and I shared our last breakfast together for a while and it was such a bittersweet feeling.

Anthony and I went out to Patchogue and it was a bit chillier than expected! But our tummies were happyhappyhappy :)

Washing down my tofu scramble with a Bloody Mary ;)

I love flying Delta because they offer T-mobile customers complimentary wifi and texting for an hour on their flights! Also I've never had a problem flying with Delta and they are usually my go-to

No matter how many times Anthony and I have gone through this routine but saying good-bye is always difficult. We're still figuring out when we'll be seeing each other again, but we usually see each other towards March / April.

Hopefully the new year will bring us closer to finally moving in together, but life is always unpredictable so we'll just have to wait and see!

I was dying to experience snow when I was in New York, but looks like I missed it by one day! However I still made it home in time for Nashville to shut down...again. I'm so glad I didn't have to go to work yesterday or else I'm sure I would've been another one of those unfortunate people that got into a wreck.

I decided to be extra and take some photos out in the snow. My little brother and I sledded for a little bit, but it was far too cold for us to stay out for long. Here's also a very short vlog of Nashville's very first snow of 2017. Hope you guys all had a fun snow day! Stay warm and be safe!

Here is part two of my trip to New York. I know I'm being a basic tumblr b**ch and took some shots around the city, but I am super proud with how some of the shots (especially the one above) came out! Majority of these shots are of when Anthony and I went into the city for the new year :)
I took this photo of the Flat Iron building with my friend, Hannah, in mind since it's one of her favorite buildings lol

For actual New Year's Eve Anthony and I went to the city. I've always wanted to see the ball drop and this year Anthony granted me that wish :) Although we weren't as close as I wanted to be, the overall experience was definitely one we'll remember. We got lost in the Nolita/Little Italy area trying to find this one pizza place and when the ball dropped I saw a girl get punched in the eye (pretty unfortunate for the girl tbh) And I also had my very first New Year's Kiss! 2017 is looking good so far :)
Hope you all had a happy New Year! Also hooray for this being my 200th post on my blog!!

New Years In New York Pt. Two

If you know me I have my moments where I can seriously throw down. Most of my friends say I have a small appetite, but once I get hungry / hangry, believe me, everything will be eaten. And it's pretty dangerous to put me in a city where there are sooooo many good places to eat! Here are some of them that I wanted to share with you and pictures of the food before I dug in!

Out in Brooklyn there's an all-vegan restaurant called Champs Diner. Anthony and I have been wanting to try this place out for the longest, but the first time we tried to go they were closed for a staff meeting! Luckily for us, the second time around, they were open. The food was beyond my expectations and oh so good. I ordered the tofu benedict with a chai latte on the side and Anthony ordered the pancake platter.

Right down the road from Champs Diner is Dun Well Doughnuts, which is an all-vegan donut shop! It seems like the tradition for whenever Anthony and I reunite, we have to celebrate with one dozen donuts. My favorite one so far is the blueberry pecan one or the regular strawberry!

While out in Queens, Anthony and I were starving and stopped by Bare Burger. We were under the impression that this place was an organic / vegetarian place, but they call themselves organic meaning genuinely organic. No added hormones are added to their meat, and all their animals used in their burgers are free-range and grass fed. However they did offer a few vegan/vegetarian options! Anthony and I ordered the Guadalupe and the Farmstead burger. Ironically enough I liked Anthony's burger more and he preferred mine. Both were still super super good and hit the spot. Even though it was slightly cold out I was in the mood for a shake and ordered the Cocovado shake, which has lime, avocado, and coconut shaving.

The last place I wanted to mention is Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I believe they're a chain cafe found in 42 states throughout the US. My goodness the Avocadolada smoothie is the best! It has avocado, pineapple, and coconut in it and I have been craving it all week. And the hummus wrap is also to die for. I swear I eat ten times more healthier in New York than I do back at home haha.
I love New York so much because there are just so many different places to eat. Nashville is slowly up and coming and their restaurant game is growing for sure, but isn't quite up to par with New York yet. That's why I love coming to New York and having a boyfriend that loves to eat just as much (and  probably a lot more) as I can.

Here is part one to my new year's trip to New York. I still have a couple days left here until I fly back to Nashville. It's still funny to me how I find myself in this situation of flying to and from New York. Never in a million years would I have thought I'd be spending as much time in New York as much as I have already. Although my visits are fairly short, it's funny where life takes you.

My first day in New York was especially busy. I was running on 2-3 hours of sleep and I landed around 10:30 am. It was so funny because as I left my gate and got on the escalator, Anthony was behind me the whole time and I didn't even notice! I apparently walked right passed him and when I got outside the airport I called him to see where he was and that's when he popped up right beside me! I'm so upset with myself that I didn't get to vlog my reaction haha.
I also got my second tattoo! I went to DaVinci Tattoo Studio out in Wantagh and got tattooed by the sweetest and amazing Jackie! And surprisingly enough she was one of Anthony's childhood friends. I still have to go in for a second session to finish the rest, but so far I am beyond in love with it! If you're interested in her work and would like to get a tattoo done by her (which I highly suggest and recommend) you can email her at jhuertas0325@gmail.com and follow her on Instagram @tattoosbyjaclyn
Friday was an especially cold day, and the harsh winds didn't help! Anthony and I decided to get out the house and do a bit of walking around at Tanger Outlets. We were debating about ice skating, but it was a tad too cold for Anthony, and the ice didn't look very "skate-able" by the time we got there haha.
I officially feel a part of the family now that I've got my own stocking hanging above the fireplace! It was a very nice surprise to see when Ant and I got to his house, not to mention all the good snacks inside!

This concludes part one to my New Year's trip to New York. Be sure to keep up with my blog posts by following me in Snapchat and Instagram @Katsangfroid! It's the best and easiest way to stay updated with when I post and also some behind the scenes of how and what I blog.
