Ulta + Sephora Haul // Mini Review + Links Included

January 25, 2016

It's been a while since I did a haul post and that's mostly because I haven't really been out shopping lately. But I went shopping earlier this month and thought I deserved to treat myself to a nice thing or two. I am slowly starting to grow a bit obsessed with Ulta because it offers both high end brands and drug store brands. So if you're interested in what I got keep on reading and don't forget to share your thoughts and comments down below! And as always links are provided for each product listed for those interested in certain items mentioned :)
Left to Right
1. Soap and Glory Hand Food $4
My hands have been suffering this winter and this hand cream has been their holy savior. The formula isn't too thick or greasy and yet still gets the job done. I've been carrying this around in my purse with me at all times and  I am going to need to buy the full size soon because I have been going through this like crazy ever since I got it.
2. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal $19
I was in need of a new high lighter and I wanted to try something new from powder highlights. I know the brand Becca is well-known for their high lighters and so I wanted to try something that wasn't so hyped up as the Champagne Pop highlight. I was also drawn to it because it wasn't a powder highlight so I wanted to experiment with different highlighter variations as well.
3. Poo-Pourri in Lavender Vanilla $10
Let me just say not to judge me for purchasing this. When I first heard of this I really didn't think this was a real product, but sure enough you can find this at Ulta. Basically what it is is a spray that prevents poop smells from emitting from the toilet bowl any time you have to go number two. What you do is spray this two to three times in the toilet bowl before you go and voila, stank is locked in. It really does work and comes in handy when you're out in public and don't want to be self-conscious of other people judging your bathroom stank.
4. It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream in "Light" $38
I have been wanting to try this CC cream for the longest and I finally decided to say "YOLO" and purchased it. I was looking into getting something more lightweight but still offered full coverage. I've been trying this out for the past couple days and so far I'm loving it. I'll be posting a full review on this product later on this month so stay tuned for that :)
5.  It Cosmetics Brush Bath Purifying Brush Cleanser $18
I recently ran out of my Beauty Blender Solid Cleanser and my brushes were in desperate need of a cleanse, but I wanted to try out something new and while browsing the It Cosmetics section of Ulta I came across this. I don't know how it will compare to the Beauty Blender Solid, because that thing made my brushes look brand-spanking new, but fingers crossed that this will work just as well or maybe even better?
6. Ardell Lashes #204 $5.49
I don't know how but I lost my favorite pair of lashes and so I needed a temporary pair of lashes to wear until I could find another new favorite pair. I wanted to try the demi wispies but I felt the lashes were a little too short for my preference. I wore these just the other day and I'm not completely in love with them but they'll have to do for now until I find a better replacement pair.
7. NYX Micro Brow Pencil in "Chocolate" $10
This is the next best thing compared to the Anastasia Beverley Hil's Brow Whiz. I think I might have gotten a shade too light for my brows though so I'll probably exchange this. But I have used this product before and it made my eyebrows so on fleek and I know I can count on this for when I'm in a rush and I don't have enough time to do my full brow routine.
I recently walked into a Sephora and I honestly did not expect to walk out with anything but these two items were just calling to me and what's even better is that they were 2x the points! My skin has been neglected of hydration and I've heard a lot of good things about these two products so I thought I might as well give them a shot.
The first thing I got was a hydrating gel. And this has been a life saver for my dry skin. It's starting to get a lot colder and harsh outside and my skin needed some extra TLC. I've only just started using this product but I am pretty sure this is going to be a staple product in my collection from now on. I might even say this is already up there at "holy grail" status.
It's also kind of cute how the cap to the bottle looks like a giant hat haha. (I know I'm a child. Sue me) And speaking of packaging the gel is obviously in a jar container and it's just an overall basic and simple jar with a twist off top. And because the top is like a "top hat" kind of design you don't have to worry about any of the product spilling out.
The gel is this light, aqua color, and is super light weight when applied onto the skin. I know that this particular formula is geared more towards people with oily skin, but I am not a big fan of heavy creams that are more towards drier skin types. Something about creams just make my skin feel greasy and as if I have this heavy layer of gunk on my face. And so far using this gel has been working well for me and my skin has been looking more hydrated ever since!

2. Sunday Riley "Power Couple" Total Transformation Kit $78
I was super duper excited to try this as soon as I got home! I have heard so many people praising these two products and now that it comes together in a kit I just had to get my hands on it. My friend Eshie has the Luna Oil and she absolutely loves it and now I can see why. Although you kind of have to get used to the smell of the products at first, you kind of get over it once you see how amazing your skin looks the day after. Like seriously I don't want to say this is a miracle worker or anything but it's pretty much the closest thing to a miracle. I have a lot of acne scaring and the texture of my skin is not all that great since I have super dry skin and so I have dry patches every where plus flaking. But after using these two products the overall texture of my skin is baby smooth. My face looks plumper and more firm and even my boyfriend noticed the difference! So far I am a happy camper with this kit and I would definitely look into buying the full sizes.
What have you guys hauled recently? Let me know in the comments <3
