Quick Update + Hidden Gems // Wisdom Teeth Removal + Hattie B's

January 9, 2016

Good morning lovlies! I just wanted to make a quick post on what I've been up to since the new year has started and obviously I had to start the year off with a big bang! Well a "big bang" as in getting my wisdom teeth removed lol. What a great way to start off the new year right? So right now I'm being a real couch potato and I'm just switching back and forth with playing Sims 4 and watching anime on Hulu.
Surprisingly my face isn't all too chipmunk-like right now, but my doctor told me the swelling usually gets worse towards the third or fourth day after surgery. Overall the procedure took about 3 and a half hours long because aside from getting my wisdom teeth taken out the procedure also included exposing one of my lower teeth because it never shifted up and instead it shifted down toward my jaw bone. And unfortunately they weren't able to expose it and connect a bracket and chain to it so they could connect those to my braces and gradually the chain will be tugging the tooth to shift up, however the tooth had already fused with my jaw bone so for right now they just cut some of the bone above the tooth in hopes that the tooth will naturally shift up. *fingers crossed*
I know that was a lot of information to take it and believe me, it's just as complicated than it sounds.
Overall I feel pretty normal just somewhat drowsy from all the medication I have to take post-surgery.
Aside from the surgery I haven't been up to much. I went to Hattie B's for the first time this past Thursday and that "Shut the Cluck Up" spice level is no joke. I barely tried a piece and the back of my throat burned so much. And for those who never heard of Hattie B's it the Nashville version of California's Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. It's an extremely popular chicken joint that there is always a line wrapping around the building. Luckily my friends and I got there just before the line started to form.
I ordered 3 medium wings with a side of their red skin potato salad and some french fries. The food was super satisfying and I would most definitely recommend for everyone who loves spicy food to at least try the Shut the Cluck Up spice because even though it was beyond spicier than I expected it was still super delicious. You also get a free bumper sticker when you order the Shut the Cluck Up! lol However if you're not about that spice life you can get your wings plain/mild.

Also they have merchandise for sale so if you're from out of town these would be a key souvenir for all your friends back at home! Or just buy one for yourself, whatever floats your boat lol.
Do you guys have something similar to Nashville's Hattie B's in your town? Or what was your wisdom tooth removal experience like and what are some tips you guys have for a speedy recovery? Let me know in the comments below!
