Have you guys heard?! AlunaGeorge just recently put up on their Instagram account their "You Know You Like It" 2015 tour dates! Tickets are going to be on sale today at 10 am. However for the big headliner shows like the Staples Center and Madison Square Garden, those tickets aren't for sale quite yet. I was seriously on my laptop all morning counting down the minutes and seconds for 10 am to hit but sadly the tickets for the show I was planning on going to isn't going to be on sale yet. I'm so scared to buy anything these next couple days because I have a feeling that as soon as I buy something the tickets will be on sale and I won't have enough lol. The paranoia is real. If you guys know when these tickets are going to be on sale (SPECIFICALLY the Madison Square Garden show PLEEEEEASE let me know in the comments down below and I will love you forever and ever!)

EDIT:
Alright so for all the shows with Zedd you look up those tickets. So for the Staples Center look up Zedd Staple Center Tickets instead of Aluna George tickets.
LOL I'm an idiot. DUH

However, for you other lucky dogs out there whose tickets are going to be on sale today you can find links to where you can purchse their tickets on their Facebook page!

Who else is excited as I am to see this duo performing live?!?!?
I seriously can't wait.

Hello, gems! I don't know about you guys but lately I don't know what it is, but I have seriously started developing an obsession with building up my makeup/beauty collection. I blame it on all the free time from being on break from school and constantly being on the Sephora app on my phone, but my lust for makeup products has gotten so crazy I thought I'd share with you guys some of the products I've really been wanting.
Wanna check out some of the makeup items I'm interested in? Then keep on reading and don't forget to leave some lovely comments down below and share some of the beauty items you've been wanting  :)
1. NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation "Fiji" $48
I've been dying to get my hands on the full size of this foundation ever since I got a sample of this in stores. It's a bit on the pricier side but I feel it'd be worth it. It looks absolutely flawless all throughout the day and I did not have to retouch, blot, or powder my face throughout the day when I wore this. Also I am a complete sucker for any NARS product and this one won me over instantly. Also it comes with a pump, and any foundation that comes with a pump is always a A+ in my book
2. NARS Creamy Concealer "Custard" $29
The formula for this concealer is out of this world! I can see why soooo many people use this concealer and I don't know why I haven't added this in my makeup collection yet!
3. Elizabeth & James Nirvana "Black" Rollerball $25 + Nirvana "White" Solid Perfume Compact $48
I LOVE the band Nirvana and having my perfumed called Nirvana would just put me in heaven. Not only do these perfumes smell good but I also absolutely loooove the Olsen twins (the founders of Elizabeth & James).  The Nirvana Black has a "tougher" scent to it while the Nirvana White has a more feminine touch. I love both but if I had to choose I'd definitely go for the Nirvana Black because it reminds me of root beer floats in a way haha.
Also the compact solid perfume is such a unique idea and it just looks so sophisticated and elegant I just have to have it!
4. Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh $89
I recently got this scent as a sample from Sephora and it was love at first sniff. This is probably my most favorite scent from the Marc Jacobs Daisy line. It's a perfect spring time and girly scent and it's pink! The full size is a bit of a splurge but it'd make a perfect gift for your girlfriend / best friend or your favorite blogger *hint hint* lol jk
5. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer $30
OH MY GOODNESS I have fallen in love once again (sorry Anthony) but I also just received a sample of this and the moment it brushed this onto my face I already knew I just had to have the full size of this. When I used this for my contour my face just looked (not to sound cocky) STUNNING. The definition this creates is unbelievable and did I mention it also smells incredible?! I joked about how it was basically Nesquik chocolate mix pressed into a powder because it's unbelievable how chocolatey it smells. I was kind of on the fence about trying this out at first because I've always felt kind of weird putting sweet smelling things on my face because I relate sweet with sugar and then sugar with break outs (??? not sure if anyone else thinks this too ???). But I misjudged this product and now it's probably going to make it's way into my makeup collection pretty soon. Also for those who are worried that the chocolate smell will linger onto your face, it doesn't, but then again is that a bad thing? Who wouldn't want to smell sweet like chocolate? :)
6. Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipsticks $22
I love matte lipsticks and once I saw Claire Marshall swatch these on her Snapchat I immediately wanted the shade 1993. And yes, it's mainly because I was born in the year 1993 but also I've always been into neutral/nude shades for lipsticks and just having a lipstick named after the year you were born just seems kind of cool.  These are pretty new (they were released yesterday) and I'm sure they're running out quick! So get your hands on these while you still can! They also have matching lip liners with each shade as well.
7. Colourpop X Kathleen Lights Collaboration
My ABSOLUTE favorite YouTuber at the moment is Kathleen Lights and when I saw her collaboration with Colour Pop Cosmetics I just fell in love. ( I feel like I said "fell in love" so many times in this post haha ) I'm not a big eye shadow person because whenever I wear eyeshadows you can never really tell I'm wearing any but the shades in the quad for her eye shadows are so frickin' gorgeous that I'm going to make them work for my eye lids somehow some way. Also the lippie stick called Lumiere is BEAUTIFUL. It's a beautiful mauvey color and it's perfect for both casual and night wear. I am a big fan of Kathleen Lights and of course I gotta support her and show her some love by having her products in my collection. And for the price?! You really can't argue.

Since Game of Thrones has ended for the time being I needed to find some new shows to watch, I know I have such an exciting life right? And I tried to start Parks and Recreation but it just failed to grasp my attention, not saying the show was bad or anything because I still see and hear a bunch of people talking about it and about how funny it is, but like I said it just wasn't my cup of tea. So in search of a new show to watch I actually decided to start watching this anime called "Food Wars" or "Shokugeki No Soma." All my friends were watching it and I watched the first episode at Eshie's house a couple months ago and it was ridiculously funny and really knew how to make my mouth salivate.

Food Wars | Shokugeki No Soma
The show Food Wars / Shokugeki No Soma is about a boy named Yukihira Soma who is trying to surpass and earn the respect from his father as a chef. To do this Soma is trying to make it to the number one spot in a very prestigious and elite culinary school whose graduation rate is less than ten percent. Each episode consists of challenges in which Soma must face and overcome in order to reach it to the number one spot.

I really recommend this to people who love food! And if you think Hayao Miyazaki and all the illustrators made their food in their films look good then you have to watch this series because the illustrators made the food just as aesthetically pleasing that you just want to go through the screen and eat all the food!

My Love Story
My love story is a cute anime about a high school student named Takeo Gouda who is a bit bigger than the average person, but despite his appearance he has a really kind heart. However people fail to see his kind-heartedness and only see his intimidating size. Also whenever Takeo would have a crush on a girl they would never fall for him but for his best friend Sunakawa. However things get a little crazy after saving a girl named Yamato from being groped on the train. Takeo starts to develop feelings for her but due to past incidents where the girl would always fall for his best friend he fails to see that Yamato has feelings for him as well!

I'm not too far into the series but just based off Takeo's character I'm already really enjoying the show. I love when the protagonist has a silly personality because it just makes the show a lot more relatable to myself. Also I love that the main character is a guy and not a girl with low-confidence and lacks common sense (99% of romance anime that I've experienced).

So if you're looking for a cute romance series to watch that's super original then I definitely recommend this!

Steven Universe
Steven Universe is my all time favorite cartoon of this generation. It's not another one of those weird cartoons that you'd only watch when you're on acid (you know what I'm talking about). I believe a majority of people who grew up watching cartoons like Rugrats, The Power Puff Girls, Ed Edd and Eddy, etc. all agree that the cartoons nowadays have made a turn for the worst. However, Steven Universe has restored faith in cartoons of this generation. It's such a cute show with a cross between Sailor Moon and Adventure Time.

I would recommend this show to those who were really big fans of Sailor Moon and liked the show Bee and Puppy Cat, so yes it is kind of a girly show but that doesn't mean guys can't watch it either. Each character is unique and brings something different to the show and you can tell there is just a lot of thought put into the production of this show, nothing makes me think that the show was in anyway done half-heartedly and that probably just makes me like the show even more!

Happy Friday my fellow Gems! I am back with a little mini drugstore haul for you guys and I'll honestly say it's been quite some time since I've bought makeup from the drugstore. I forgot how cheap everything was compare to higher end products and the whole time I was shopping I was just thinking to myself about how I wish all makeup were this cheap but still super good quality. NOT saying that drugstore brands aren't good quality or anything! But anyway enough blabbering and let's get onto the post!

I rarely ever have my hair up but when I do I make sure I slay whatever style it is whether it be the Asian Mom Bun or the classic pony tail. I always used to hide behind my bangs when I was younger because I felt like my face was just too wide or round but sometimes on hot and humid summer days you just gotta put your hair up!

I also love having white walls in my room because I feel simplistic, minimalist, or solid backgrounds are a great way to really draw the attention to the subject that you're shooting. I'm still learning how to use my camera, despite having it for almost four years now, there's always something new to learn right?
And everything I'm wearing is from Forever21. Sadly I don't have the link to the clothing items because I bought them in store, I've searched all over the website to see if I could find everything but I had no luck :/

But if you're interested in the cute cactus necklace I'm wearing you can check it out here

A Closer Look | Cheero Power Plus DANBOARD Battery Charger Review

July 6, 2015

If you read my "Travel Tips And Tricks + What's In My Carry On" post then you'll know that I recently got this Cheero Power Plus Danboard Battery Charger for my trip to New York. And this has seriously been a life changer and really came in handy throughout my trip. If you wanna learn more about the battery charger then please keep reading :)

Hello lovely Gems! I am back with a travel-related post because as you all may or may not know I  recently took a trip to New York. While packing for the trip I thought it'd be a fun idea to make a post about how I pack my bags and what I pack in my bags, along with a few travel tips and tricks!

Tip #1 : Make Use Of Every Single Portion of Space

I like fitting in smaller and flatter items between the bars at the bottom of the suitcase. It really comes in handy when you're packing sandals and camis.

Tip #2 : Fold AND Roll Your Clothes

A lot of other bloggers and articles that I've seen in relation to traveling tips go for the rolling or the folding bit, there's never an in between. However I find using a combination of both methods works ideally! I use the folding method for thinner pieces like chiffon blouses or cotton t-shirts and then the folding method for thicker pieces like my maxi dresses. I like using both methods because when I would try to use the rolling method with my thicker pieces they would just make the item a lot bulkier and thus leading to less room for all my other clothes.

Tip #3 Edge Up Your Pieces
What I mean by "edging up" your pieces is by lining up the edges of your clothes along the edges of the suitcase. If you look at the picture I have above you'll notice that I have the shorts on the right overlapping each other in opposite ways (the top of each pair of shorts is lined along the edge). I like doing this to my clothes because it prevents my bag from looking extra bulky.
Tip #4 : Pack Versatility Pieces
Sticking to a neutral palette for your wardrobe is the easiest way to make sure you don't over or under pack. Also by packing versatile pieces that you can both dress up and dress down you can create multiple outfits with less amounts of clothes. Especially for summer time I like packing maxi and midi dresses because they're easy to style, it's a whole outfit in itself,  and are extremely hassle-free.

Tip #5: Don't Pack Anything You're Not Going to Use Throughout Your Trip
Okay this may sound like common sense, BUT that novel your reading? That uncomfortable travel pillow you just spent $20 on? Are you really going to be using those on your vacation to Hawaii? If the answer is "No" then why pack it? One of the biggest concerns about taking a trip somewhere, aside from missing your flight or forgetting something, is not having enough space. I feel that the reason most people don't have enough space when packing is that they pack things they won't use throughout the trips. I see people packing books and travel pillows onto flights only to conclude that they're not going to use that travel pillow or even read that book all throughout their vacation. To avoid this I never pack anything I know I won't use. If I want to read on the plane I download the eBook version onto my phone and most airlines provide pillows during the flight so instead of investing in a travel pillow save your money and just ask a flight attendant for a couple pillows.

What's In My Carry-On

1. Cell Phone W/ Card Holding Case
2. Debit Card
3. Photo ID
4. External Battery Pack
5. Sonia Kashuk Beauty Organizer
6. Fuji Film Instax Mini 7 Camera + Packs of Film
7. Headphones
8. Mini Hand Sanitizer
9. Mini Eye Drops
10. Toiletry Clutch
11. Travel Size Hair Straightener
12. Sunglasses

These are all the essential items that I always pack for a trip anywhere. And the Sonia Kashuk beauty organizer has become a real life saver by keeping all my beauty items all in one place!

What's in your guy's carry ons? I hope it was helpful and insightful and hopefully it helped you think of some of your own packing tips and ideas. Be sure to let me know what tip you found most useful down in the comments below!

A Review on the Cheero Danboard External Battery Charger

So stay tuned and be on the look out for that!

Hello everyone! So as you may or may not know I recently went back to New York to go see my boyfriend to celebrate our one year anniversary! I left on the 17th of this month and came back on the 26th, and boy did those ten days pass by quick. However this mini vacation was exactly what I needed to get away from the stress from work and I just needed a new change of scenery. And of course not being able to see my boyfriend for 3 months was really taking a toll on me. So spending ten wonderful days with this wonderful guy was heavenly and of course I'm so heartbroken to be away from him again, but we'll be seeing each other again soon enough so that's something I'm always looking forward to. But enough with the sappy talk and let's get more into the lovely photos I gathered up all throughout the trip!
