If you've been keeping up with my other social media and even briefly skimmed over a few recent posts you'd know that my latest obsession (besides donuts) has been Game Of Thrones. I cannot get enough of the show and I'm just about caught up with the latest season. But enough with the heavily extended introduction and let's get down to business....

K i t M'f'ing H a r i n g t o n.

My latest man crush and I'm sorry babe I know you're probably reading this, but you and I both know that he is pretty darn sexy. (I recently got my boyfriend to start watching the series)

Now... Let us all just take some time and appreciate this beautiful man.

And for all those who sadly "know nothing" of  who this man is he is the British actor who plays Jon Snow in the television series "Game Of Thrones"

And not to sound cheesy but c'mon Kit & Kat.
We'd make the perfect best friends with the coolest yet original best friend name pairing.
I really hope to see more of him after Game of Thrones because he is a phenomenal actor (as is the rest of the cast *Team Arya*). And if the rumors of him and Emilia Clarke dating are true, I'd totally support that shipment lol.

*Spoiler*

And no. I won't accept Jon's Snow death because he can't be dead and why would they end the season like that!!!! WHYYYY

Happy Sunday and Happy Father's day to all the dads out there! I know moms are mostly the ones celebrated and that dads are kind of "underrated" in a way but I want all the dads out there to know that you are love and appreciated! Whether you're a stay-at-home dad or working late hours all the time, everything you do for your family and those you love hopefully won't go unnoticed. And I know Mother's Day wasn't too long ago and I didn't necessarily go out of my way to do a blog post about that but that is in no way intended to seem as if I don't care about my mom as much as my dad. I love both my parents and even though majority of my childhood I grew to learn not to love or even acknowledge my father you really don't know what you have until it's gone. And yes that is pretty much foreshadowing to how serious this post is going to get and I just want to put a big disclaimer out there that this is in no way a post looking for sympathy or pity. I am not looking for that kind of attention nor do I care for it.

This was the last picture we took together before he passed away last year. I don't really have many other pictures of him because I just never grew up with any pictures of him around. As you can probably tell I was one of those kids who grew up being taught to not really be fond of their father. I admit he's wasn't the best dad out there, and the only way he knew how to connect with my brother and I was through quantitative love. Either it be money or giving me things I didn't necessarily need. It was to be expected though, we never really got to see each other and when we did it was awkward and we just never developed that sense of connection that a daughter and father should have.

He was dealing with the illness for a while. I remember I was still in high school or so when he first mentioned some kind of "sickness" he was going through and how he didn't feel as good as he should but insisted to buy me a new car after the other one he gave me got wrecked. Then I remember how he got upset with me because I told him I didn't want the car because he needed the money more than I did. He saw my rejection to the car as a rejection of his love.

The message I wanted to send through this post is basically that I know that it's more common nowadays where children grow up without a father and I know at a young age it's hard to understand why your parents aren't together like the other parents you see. Even so, don't take what you have and what you think you don't have for granted. Don't just take one day out of the year to appreciate those you love and care about. I know sometimes your friends and family will frustrate you, but that's what family and friends do, and there's no doubt that you probably frustrate them from time to time, but regardless of all that in the end you still love them and vice versa. Don't forget to tell someone you love them and don't act spiteful towards them on purpose because you never know when you'll lose them.

I hope everyone really took the time to show your dads, friends, family members, and pets how much you love them and happy fathers day to all the dads out there whether they're with us physically or not. And I hope this post didn't put a big damper on your guy's day :( I'm doing fine and I know my father is in a better place now and I genuinely hope this post inspired people to really appreciate those around you. Again, happy father's day and I hope you are all having a good weekend :D

Hi guys! So I thought it'd be a pretty fun (and embarrassing) idea to share with you guys some really old picture of myself and basically show you guys the "Evolution of Kat Sangfroid" or should I say "Kat McLovin." Because, yes, five years ago I actually thought I was cool going by that and I even made that my MySpace name. Yup, had to mention the good ol MySpace days. Which surprisingly enough I managed to log back into my account and which is where I found majority of these pictures and for some reason felt like it was a good idea to let you guys see these embarrassing photos of me back in high school and when I obviously did not know how filters worked lol.

The pictures start from 2007-ish me all the way to 2015 me.

And here's my all time favorite picture of my best friend Eshie and I back in 8th grade.
Just look at that pro editing and the great usage of fonts. This just screams "MySpace Classic" all over it.

I hope these pictures gave you guys a good laugh and didn't scare you guys away too much. I know, I was an awkward child back in the day, but who wasn't? From all the bad self-given haircuts to the overplucked eyebrows, all of that has made me blossom into the awesome person I am now haha. Aside from all the physical changes I've been through I'll always be and always have been the overly sarcastic person you all probably can't stand being around for more than 24 hours lol.

I've had a pretty eventful life these past couple of weekends, I started off the month celebrating my friend's 22nd birthday, then went hiking at Greeter Falls and then enjoyed a scorching hot summer day watching a movie in the park!

Starting off with Juan's 22nd birthday! I showed up a little late to the festivities because I didn't get off work that night until about 11 but when I showed up I made my presence known by winning 9 something games of Speed in a row until Belina beat me. I hate playing singles in Speed. And I know "speed" is a slang or street name for a drug, not sure which one, but the Speed I'm talking about is a card game that I'm sure most of you might have played back in high school.

The night was real chill and laid back. Everyone was having a good time and of course the selfie stick came into action lol.

And this is what happens when you let your friends have a Touch ID on your phone and they hack into your Snapchat account.

I left the party pretty early on (if you consider 1 am early) because I had to be at work the next day at 8 lol. Yes, I know I can't hang.

Then I also celebrated my new favorite holiday on the 5th! And if you guys follow me on Instagram you'd probably know exactly which holiday I'm talking about. That's right
N A T I O N A L D O N U T D A Y
I seriously cannot tell you enough how much of a guilty pleasure donuts are to me. They are just perfect in every shape, form, flavor, and filling. If there were no health related risks to eating a dozen donuts a day, I'd probably do it.
The drinking does not stop with us lol. Because spiked shakes are better than regular shakes.
Mmmm~

I also just wanted to mention that I finally reached VIB status at Sephora! Thanks to Deanna for using my Sephora card and racking up the last couple of points I needed to reach VIB lol.

Weekend Rewind + Photo Diary | Juan's Feeling 22 + Greeter Falls + Movies In The Park!

Alrighty guys so here is part two of my Summer Essentials for 2015 and this is basically going to be going over stuff that'll come in handy especially if you're planning on going on vacation somewhere! This post will also go over some skin care products that I feel will really do wonders for your skin throughout the summer and fight against the heat and humidity! Also if you're planning on working on that perfect summer bod I've included some cute fitness outfits and necessities as well! Hope you guys enjoy! :)

Vacation essentials

To start off I wanted to go over some key vacation items. I seriously cannot stand it when I go on vacation only to get to my destination and realize I have forgotten something! But before I go into the actual items I have pictured above I wanted to go over the importance of making a P A C K I N G L I S T ! A packing list is a must-have when going on a road trip or a vacation off to somewhere far from home. Make sure to go over the list multiple times and include everything you'll need, of course if you forget to include something in your list, you're going to forget it while you're packing! So double, triple, quadruple check!

Speaking of packing lists, here are some things I feel are important to include in that packing list:

1. Urban Outfitters Pink  Donut Pool Float $24 | Urban Outfitters Pizza Pool Float $55
This isn't really a necessity but it's super cute to have if you're just hanging out by the pool and it could come in handy if you have a friend that can't swim!

2.  Cheero Danboard Power Plus External Battery $50
An external battery comes in handy especially while on super long flights or during an extraneous road trip! Also you can never overestimate the life of your battery so having an external battery handy really saves your phone and your friends phones!

3. Fuji Instax Mini 8 $100
Cameras are a must-have when going on vacation and taking cute polaroids are a neat way of documenting your trip and fun summer days.

4. Wide Lens / Fish Eye / Micro Lens Attachment for iPhones
Having these attachment lens are a neat way to add some clarity and effects to your pictures. There is a more pricer lens called the Ollo Clip which will probably give your more bang for your buck, but cheap alternatives like these still get the job done for less.

5. Diane von Furstenberg Saluti Spinner Suitcase $110
When it comes to suitcases I feel having a suitcase that has the 360 wheels are very convenient. I also prefer suitcases that have that extender thing along the zippers because usually when you go on vacation you come back with more than what you left with so it's nice to have a suitcase that can adjust according to. The one I have pictured is just one that I thought was cute, I don't own that specific suitcase but I would recommend that if you're on the hunt for a suitcase to make sure it meets airline regulation measurements (especially if you just plan on having carry-on bags), and that it's also convenient.

6. Mochi Things Underwear Pouch $32
I literally fell in love with the idea of this product because I am a neat freak and have to have everything organized especially when it comes to packing, just having everything organized and having a place for everything makes your life and vacation much more easier. This underwear pouch is a ideal way to store and pack your bras and panties and it even has a little pouch in the middle where you could keep your tampons or pads or whatever you feel you need to store in there.

7. Sonia Kashuk Beauty Organizer $25
Just like the underwear organizer that I just previously mentioned I also fell in love with this beauty organizer! Sonia Kashuk is probably one of my favorite "designer drugstore" brands and the print to this collection is so chic and trendy I just could not stop thinking about it as soon as I set my eyes on this collection.

It has two velcro pouches on the left panel then a middle slip where you can store your brushes and then one big clear slot on the inside of the right panel. This is the ideal makeup/bathroom toiletries for when your traveling because it can store all your makeup and bathroom essentials all in one place. And if you're like me, I hate having to use multiple bags or pouches when packing.

8. Ribbon Hair Ties
Ribbon hair ties  are a great alternative to the regular hair tie because they don't create that awkward dent in your hair after wearing it for prolonged periods of time and they're just as cheap and you can find them for cheap anywhere from Forever21 or Sephora.

9. Yazbukey Passport Case $175 | Passport Jacket $45
It's always a good idea to have your passport in a safe place and to have a unique cover to it because a lot of passports look the same on the outside but you don't want to end up somehow accidentally picking up someone else's passport when going through security or anything. I mean of course what are the chances of that, but of course having an eye-catching cover will help you easily find your passport in your bag or if you just so happen to misplace it.

10. Barney's Proenza Schoulder Small PS Courier Backpack $1009
A backpack is a staple traveling item when going away somewhere. Of course go for practicality over style, or if you're lucky enough get a practical backpack that's also cute and trendy! Also the more pockets and storage space the better! The one I have pictured above was just for the aesthetics and of course I would probably never spend that much on a backpack, but kudos to any of those who would.

11. Lifefactory Glass Bottle $22
A water bottle is a necessity while traveling because it's ridiculous how pricey drinks can get so having a refillable water bottle is very useful and it's also very important to stay hydrated especially in the summer time!

12. Mochi Things Voyage Travel Planner $10
This planner is a great way to store all your important documents like your passport, license, and plane tickets! The journal is a great way to plan our and document your trip and just something you can look back on in the future to help you reminisce on your trips.

It's the first day of June and only 20 more days until it's going to officially be the first day of summer! Sadly it's been raining here nonstop since yesterday, but summer is the only thing on my mind!  Are you guys prepared for the warmer (possibly Hellish) weather? If not look no further because I've got some summer essentials that will ensure that you're prepared for all your summer plans all the way from your head to your toes!

3. Forever 21 Straw Grosgrain-Ribbon Boater Hat $13

It's key to protect yourself from the harsh rays of the sun but we tend to forget to protect our faces! So floppy hats or boater hats are a cute yet practical way of doing so. Also I added a cute head chain because it's an easy way to add some extra style to your look while going out at night with your friends!

Your eyes are one of the most precious part of your body and taking care of them is especially important in the summer. So prevent from any premature blindness get some super cute yet super affordable sunglasses from ZeroUV! They have a huge variety of sunglasses all for no more than $20, some go as cheap as $5! And aside from a cute and stylish pair of sunglasses we all love a good deal so be sure to check them out and if it's your first time shopping with them be sure to sign up for their newsletter because it comes with a 25% off coupon!

Top Tops For Summer

Funky prints are easier and somewhat more acceptable to pull off in the summer, so don't be afraid to wear some crazy prints ranging from eyeballs to bananas!

Crop tops are a key staple for summer time and they come in all different kinds of styles and with different prints!

Kimonos and light cardigans come in handy on chilly summer nights or when you feel you need a little more protection while out in the sun but without the hassle of adding on too many layers.

Summer just wouldn't be summer without taking a trip to the beach or the pool!

4. Brandy Melville Eve Shorts $24

Everyone knows that once the sun's out the buns come with it! Nothing wrong with a little cheeky action going on in the summer, especially if you're trying to beat the heat. Nonetheless be sure to wear clothing items that YOU are comfortable with. I know that it gets rather hot in the summer on the western hemisphere and people start to show a little too much skin than necessary, but fashion shouldn't just be about looking cute and stylish but being comfortable and confident with what you wear! So if short-shorts aren't your thang then don't stress! There are even cuter skirts (especially maxi's) out there, so you'll be both covered yet still feel the breeze~~

Gladiator-Styled sandals are the staple sandals this summer. From ankle gladiator sandals to knee highs, the strappier and "gladiator-ier" the better. Also a thick and chunky strap with some criss-cross action are also making their way into everyone's wardrobe this summer as well!

I hope you guys found this post somewhat helpful! And also thank you so much to Polyvore for making these fashion templates super easy to create! I'm extremely late on joining this site but now I just can't get enough of it. I used to make these fashion templates/ wishlists the old school way by copying and pasting everything into paint, but now using Polyvore just makes everything so much more convenient and really has everything you need all in one place! So be sure to follow me on my Polyvore account as well HERE and I'll follow you guys back! I'm still trying to get the hang of things but I really want to see all your guy's super cute, chic and creative creations.

June 1, 2015
