Two artists/groups who I have not been able to get enough of lately are Aluna George and Alina Baraz (& Galimatias). They are the two stations on my Pandora that I constantly have on repeat! If you haven't heard of them I really suggest you guys give them a listen, especially if you're into the "trap" kind of music. I feel their music are perfect for small get togethers or kick back with your friends! I personally love listening to them in the car, while I'm working out, or even when I'm just relaxing in my room working on blog posts :)

I've never really been someone that's into inspirational quotes or anything like that but I did come across some quotes that caught my eye and for some reason kind of stuck with me.

I personally really like this quote by Elizabeth Taylor because to me it basically screams "I'm a strong woman that doesn't need a man" kind of vibe. This is really a pick-me-up kind of quote that really releases the strong and independent woman in all of us.

I really liked this when I came across it on Pinterest because the overall look of it is super cute and would look perfect hung up in a frame during the spring and summer seasons.

I find this quote rather comical because I've really been getting into the whole fitness and workout scene. I've always wanted to be seen as the tough girl that can kick ass while also having a nice ass as well. So this quote does a good job of summarizing my personality into a simple statement, I suppose haha. Also who wouldn't want to be a bad ass with a good ass? It's a win-win situation!

These two quotes kind of go hand-in-hand. I used to be someone who never believed in myself. I always told myself I couldn't do this because of that or do that because of this. And because of making up so many excuses and limitations for myself I missed out on a lot and would wonder "what if that happened instead of this" or "If only I had just done that." So these quotes really speaks out to me and I use it as a reminder that the only person holding me back from getting what I want is myself and that in order to get what I'm going after I have to be brave and not be afraid to take any chances.

What are some quotes that you guys find inspirational or that you like to live by? Did any of these quotes really speak out to you? Let me know in the comments down below!

Hi guys! So I hope everyone had a really good Memorial Day weekend, I spent the weekend working, sadly. BUT I did manage to still make the most of the weekend and actually go out for once! Also a big thank you to all those who have put their life on the line to protect this country, you are all appreciated and keep doing what you do because not everyone is willing to do what you all do everyday <3

So starting off with Friday the squad and I went to the movies and watched "Poltergeist." All I can say is that I was basically doing more laughing then screaming during the movie and I kind of almost fell asleep. I'll probably, maybe, do a more in-depth review of the movie in another post. But to sum it all up, during the whole time I was watching this movie I forgot it was supposed to be a horror film. Afterwards we all went to one of my friend's house for some beer pong. I wish someone could've recorded the first game I played cause there were so many moves that defied physics, chemistry, gravity and everything. Like I don't know how some of the things that happened happened that game lol.

On Saturday, it was quite the eventful night. I felt kind of thrown off by all the events I was being invited to, but sadly enough I didn't get to go to all of them. First I went to Lao New Year down at the Murfreesboro temple. And for those who don't know Lao New Year is basically just like any other traditional new year in any other culture, and LNY is just a festival-like gathering with lots of food, evil kids chasing each other around trying to attack one another with shaving cream (I don't know why, don't ask me, it just happens every year), and where people just get together in celebration of the new year. Now for me, I've never ever been a fan or one to attend this event..like ever. It's just never been my cup of tea and I just never felt comfortable in that setting. The food was really good though! I wish I could've had another cup of the taro and coconut bubble tea I had that night. <33 Soooo good.

Afterwards I stopped by this hookah bar to see my old friend Max who was in town that night! Sadly I only stayed for literally two minutes because it was getting late and there was another social event to go too. And of course my mind was just so all over the place that I forgot to even take a picture with Max! How rude of me right? -___-

Then Sunday was my lazy day. I was way too exhausted from Saturday even though now that I think of it, I didn't do as much really. But I also had work and afterwards I went straight home and slept the rest of the day away.

On Memorial Day, sadly I was stuck at work, yet again. But despite that I still managed to hang out with some close friends and really let my inner-geek out from playing the Resident Evil deck building game. And not to brag, but I also beat everyone in Speed heh heh.

The night ended pretty early for me. At this point I was socially drained because as you might not already be able to tell I don't socialize or go out all that often. I was planning on heading over to my other friend's house for some more beer pong, but I'm getting older and I just can't seem to hang like I used to.

Overall I felt like it was still a weekend well spent with good food and good people :)

P.S
sorry to Sam if you're ever reading this, you could've won the Resident Evil game, but we cheated and but Nemisis on top so that's why you lost.

Felt rather photogenic the other day and really got in touch with my narcissistic side. Got some rather good feedback on these pictures on my Instagram! And of course there's nothing wrong with posing awkwardly in front of a camera and being your own photographer :) I usually not very comfortable being in front of the camera than I am being behind it, but every now and then I have a little fun and oddly enough some pictures actually turn out pretty good!

Happy May 19th everyone! Today is a day of many events and celebrations, for one it is my boyfriend and I's 11 month anniversary, it is also the beginning of Mercury Retrograde (booooo *thumbs down*), and most last but not least it is Sam Smith's birthday today! And even if you don't know me personally, everyone knows how much I absolutely adore Sam Smith and that I am in love with both him and his godly voice. Which on a side note, Sam recently underwent surgery on his vocal cords, which I've been hearing has been a success so lettuce all be grateful for that and for still being able to hear this man perform in future concerts to come.

We all love you Sam!

So a big

You are the greatest and you deserve the best <3

Happy anniversary babe <3
I didn't forget about you haha

Last night, my best friend Eshie and I got to relive our middle school days and saw Paramore live in concert! They were playing at the Grand Ole Opry and if you guys didn't know, Nashville is actually their hometown. So I thought it was pretty awesome being able to see the band perform live in their hometown and the whole experience was just surreal and the performance was just overall AMAZING. And I would say the word "amazing" is an understatement.

If I haven't already mentioned this, I have recently hopped on the Game of Thrones bandwagon, and let me just tell you that if you have yet to start this series, you need to start it like...yesterday cause this show is just full of anticipation, drama, action and you really do feel a sense of attachment to the characters. I haven't read the books, but I feel the show does a phenomenal job already of carrying out the story line. And last Friday, the Adventure Science Center was hosting this Game Of Thrones "Way Late Play Date" event. Of course I had to go and indulge in the Game of Thrones-ness.

And for those who don't live in the Nashville area or haven't heard of the Adventure Science Center, it's mainly a place where people (mostly for kids) learn about the basic things of science biology, chemistry, physics, and physical science, but in a way that's fun and without the classroom. What the "Way Late Play Date" events are, are just events hosted by the Adventure Science Center but for adults 21 and up because there would be alcohol beverages served and whatnot. And basically the adults will have the opportunity to enjoy all the facilities and gizmos of the Adventure Science Center without the hassle of worrying about losing their kids or running kids over and etc.

If you follow me on all my social media you'll notice that I've hopped on the Pinterest bandwagon (kind of late on that, I'll admit) and that I've been non-stop pinning and you'd probably think I have a Pinterest addiction, and I am not ashamed to admit that, yes, I think I am kind of addicted and obsessed with the app. But that's another topic for another blog post later on. Right now I just wanted to share a couple eye-catching picture I've seen on Pinterest and kind of came up with a bohemian-inspired empress kind of theme going on. The pictures are all so majestic and aesthetically pleasing that I just couldn't help but want to share them with everyone.
And I admit these pictures kind of gave me a "Game Of Thrones" vibe and which is probably why I fell in love with them so much.

Spring has sprung, but because the school semester is done and over with for me, summer vacation is all that's been on my mind lately. And with summer time comes a need for some new summer wants and essentials! Of course this summer all I really plan on doing is working but that doesn't mean I shouldn't look cute or treat myself every now and then. Also I'm planning on taking another trip up to New York this summer as well and I definitely want to make sure I have every thing I need for the trip!

So here is just a sneak of a couple items I've been eyeing lately and have been really wanting but of course being a broke college student and having other things to pay for, they have been stuck on my wishlist but are hopefully going to make their way into my closet/bag some time very very soon.

Here's just a quick little playlist of songs I've been listening to lately  I personally enjoy really old-school, throwback songs, and I am definitely a sucker for any good, classic love songs like the ones I'll mention in this post! And yes, if you watched the movie "Guardians of the Galaxy" you will notice that a majority of these songs are included in the soundtrack for the movie, which is where I was reintroduced to most of these songs and I have not been able to stop listening to them ever since!
So give this playlist a listen, I personally feel these are a hopeless romantic's ultimate go-to love songs and just give that wholehearted and feel-good feeling.

Alright guys, so I know it's the beginning of the month of May, but ironically I am going to be talking about an event I went to last month called MTAC. Now surprisingly to most of you who don't know me personally probably wouldn't have guessed that I'm quite the nerdy type. And I might not be the nerdiest of nerds out there, but I do have a dorky and more geekier side to me, and I say that with confidence and admittingly say that I have been attending this event/convention ever since I was in 6th grade. Now, for all the readers who don't necessarily live in the states or even remotely close to Nashville, Tennessee MTAC is Tenneessee's most renown anime convention and MTAC stands for "Middle Tennessee Anime Convention" and this year's theme was "15 to Life." And for people that don't know what anime is, it's basically Japanese cartoon animations. Some examples would be like Sailor Moon, InuYasha, Samurai Champloo, FLCL just to name a few. (And some of my personal favorites) And this year MTAC was actually hosted at two hotels, which is very different compared to the past times where they would usually only host it at one. This year they were able to host it at the Sheraton Music City Hotel and the Marriott, which were right down the road from each other. I thought it was pretty cool that they got to bring it back to the Sheraton, because the first time I ever went to MTAC it was hosted there, so it was kind of a sense of nostalgia going back to MTAC at the Sheraton. And what was also really cool was that you had the option to take a shuttle from hotel to hotel, which was a lot more convenient than losing your parking spot and driving back and forth. But then again the hotels were within walking distance from each other too, so it was nice having that option as well.
