Hi loves! It is officially the last day of 2015 so for the last post of the year I just wanted to go back in time and reminisce on what I feel were the biggest highlights of 2015. 2015 has become such a blur to me because I feel like it went as soon as it came! The years just seem to go by faster and faster nowadays, but that just makes me want to really appreciate all the good times and to do so I thought why not go back and talk about what I felt were the biggest highlights and some of my favorite moments of 2015 :)
Sam Smith @ Madison Square Garden
january 2015
Starting the year off right by seeing Sam Smith perform at Madison Square Garden! I surprised my boyfriend with tickets to his concert for his birthday. I remember the day I bought the tickets I had the worst yet kind of best luck. I was stuck in terrible traffic the hour before tickets went on sale and I was on my way to campus that morning and I made sure to get there early just so I could make it to school on time, find a parking spot, buy the tickets, and still make it to class on time. But like I said I was in terrible traffic the hour before up until the point to when tickets went on sale! So as soon as I made it to campus I had to rush and buy the tickets, unfortunately I didn't get tickets right next to each other but I managed to get two tickets in rows close to each other. But on the night of the concert I remember being bummed because Anthony (my boyfriend) and I didn't get to actually be together during the concert, but being the badass Anthony is, he said F it and we shared a seat with me anyway. Luckily no one got onto us, since I was basically sitting in his lap throughout the end of the concert heh heh heh.
My First Tattoo
march 2015
Strangely enough I can't remember how painful it was to get a tattoo. I got this tattoo together with Anthony, although we didn't get matching tattoos, it was a special moment for me to share together with him :)  I am really wanting a new tattoo but I just don't know what I want to get next, I have an idea but I want to be 100% sure of it before I commit. I love the way this first tattoo came out and the colors are just so cute and pretty. I get compliments on it all the time. I remember after Anthony and I were all done we got margaritas and it was just an overall successful day :)

Getting Braces
april 2015
Growing up I've never had perfect teeth and I've been wanting braces ever since I was 11 years old, but never being able to afford it until 10 years later I grew up very insecure about my teeth. I never really announced prior to this post about getting braces, other than a quick story on Snapchat, but I never really showed them off after that. And even now I'm still somewhat insecure about my teeth even though they look a heck of a lot better than they did before, but getting braces, and getting them on my own, with my own money, was a big accomplishment to me. Even though I look like a 15 year old again, it's already been a year of having a braces and soon enough I'll be getting these babies off in no time.
I remember when I first got them on it was completely terrible. My mouth always hurt, it hurt to eat, and it just hurt to talk. It was even worse because I was taking a speech class and so having to make a speech with freshly put on braces was lisp-central. But now I've gotten used to seeing myself in braces and sometimes I just sit in my room and look at my teeth in the mirror cause I still can't get over that I actually got braces. Although I was kind of embarrassed getting braces at the age of 21, I later on realized, "Who gives a F**k?" because getting braces is something I felt I truly needed and have always wanted and there's nothing wrong with doing something you've always wanted. Also I didn't want to live the rest of my life being self-conscious of whether or not people are staring at my teeth while I'm talking.  I'm not sure how much longer I have to wear my braces but I know it'll all be worth it in the end.

 Coney Island
june 2015

The part I loved most about Coney Island was definitely riding the Thunderbolt roller coaster. I remember how Anthony said he was afraid of roller coasters because he was scared that something would go wrong and we somehow end up falling out of our seats as we're upside down, or the roller coaster actually running off the tracks. But ironically after we rode it he wanted to ride it again!
It was a really hot and humid day but  I had loads of fun :)

One Year Anniversary At The Beach
june 2015

It's so crazy how much can happen in a year and still being able to have Anthony by my side is a big accomplishment in my life. I don't know if accomplishment is the right term but it seemed like not too long ago we were working together at Forever 21 and getting in trouble with cops for being at the park 2 minutes after it closed lol.
And spending our one year anniversary at the beach was everything I could've asked for. The sun was out and not a cloud in the sky, which was fortunate because it was supposed to be super cloudy the rest of the week. The water was super chill and not that many seagulls were at this beach. ( I hate birds so the less birds the better lol)
Aluna George Concert
october 2015
Aluna Francis is a saint and being able to see her perform in concert was a dream come true. I still regret not saying anything to George when I accidentally ran into him though. The concert was lit and I would definitely want to relive that night over again.
It was a super crazy drive back from Boston to New York though because it was raining like crazy to the point that you couldn't see the road, well that's what Anthony told me, I was actually asleep throughout the whole drive lol.
Meeting Doug The Pug
december 2015
I know people thought I was crazy when I literally went to the mall just to meet a dog. But when a famous dog from your home city is having a meet and greet, you go to that meet and greet. Especially when that dog is adorable beyond words like Doug The Pug.
It kind of sucked at first because I was waiting in the wrong location so I ended up having to wait an hour longer than I originally would have, but it was all still worth it because seeing this cutie in person is almost just as cute as seeing him on his Instagram
My 22nd Birthday
december 2015
video

It's becoming a tradition, it seems, to shove whipped cream into the birthday person's face. I remember when I went to my friend, Monty's, birthday party there was just whipped cream everywhere and on everyone and now it looks like it's made it's way to me. I really thought my mom was in on the plan because she had two cases of whipped cream in the fridge prior to this day but that wasn't the case, but she still laughed hysterically at my misfortune anyway lol.
Seeing the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center
december 2015
For my birthday this year all I wanted was to go to the city, see the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center and then ice skate. I did two out of the three but it was a very magical moment, regardless of all the people and using Anthony as a human bolder to push through the crowd lol. I didn't get to ice skate because frankly I didn't want to after a while, there were too many people and it was too cold lol. But I had my Home Alone moment and that's all that matters :)

What were some of your favorite moments of 2015?

What were some of your favorite moments of 2015?
Hi, loves! The new year is just a day away; have you made any New Year's resolutions? I thought about it and I couldn't really think of anything so instead I came up with more of a "bucket list" of things I wanted to accomplish by the end of next year. 2015 was definitely a game changing kind of year for me. I started to work out more, learned to be more independent, worked on my terrible spending habits, and learned a lot more about myself. There were definitely good times and bad times last year, but the new year is upon us and we should all be looking forward to what's in store for all of us and the new year!
The things I hope to accomplish by the end of 2016 are:
1. Run 1 mile in 10 minutes or less
2. Squat 50 pounds
3. Do 20 pull ups consecutively
4. Save up at least $1000
5.  Get back into school
6. Start my Vlogging adventures

I know, I know, a lot of my goals are fitness related but ever since I started working out I've really been striving to improve and not to mention working out is super addicting! Also I want to try and save up more because 2015 was the year I realized that I had a serious spending problem. I would always blow my paychecks to the last cent and I just don't want to go through the same financial struggles of this year into next year. Also since having to take a year off a school it really made me appreciate getting an education, also for the time being while I figure my whole life plan and whatnot I feel getting an education towards a degree is probably one of the best things to do with my time. And last but not least I have always wanted to start video diaries because I love watching old videos my friends and I used to record, all before we got jobs and grew up lol, and also watching home videos is always a good time so I just wanted to start documenting my life in a way that I feel would be the most fun and memorable way to do so.
A new year is always a chance for new opportunities and adventures and I can't wait to experience it all (not to sound cheesy or anything) but I have a good feeling about 2016, and not just because I like the number 16 lol.
What are some of your guy's resolutions or goals for the upcoming year?

Hi loves! As you may have read in one of my previous posts I recently got my nails done for the first time. Well recently as in about two weeks ago. But anywho, I thought I would share my first nail salon experience with you guys! The place I went to was really high rated and I initially was planning on going to a different salon but my friend Eshie sold me on this place. I didn't get a chance to take any pictures of the place since my hands were kind of busy the whole time lol but it was very chic, modern and high-class looking.
I got acrylic nails done and the shape I went for was almond and the color I first had on was China Glaze's "What's She Dune?" and I liked the way in looked in the bottle but I don't think the color went all too well with my skin tone. Also I think it looked kind of odd on the almond shape.

I was so unsatisfied with the color that I went to Walgreens the next day and bought a new polish lol. The color I got was the Sally Hansen's Gel Miracle in #640 "Totem-ly Yours." I really liked the way the color turned out and it was more like the color I was originally wanting and it complements my skin tone very well. But just because I was unsatisfied with the color I don't want you guys to think that it was the salon's fault because it obviously wasn't. I just wasn't wise with the color selection. Also not to mention after everything was done I noticed that the paint job looked very streaky and I want to say it was the top coat because you could only see it in some lightings but I didn't feel like sitting down again and ask for them to repaint my nails, so I just did it myself.
The one big thing that I did not like about my experience at this salon is that while the nail tech was working on my nails she accidentally cut my cuticle a bit to where I was bleeding and she didn't even apologize for it. She just kept working as if she didn't notice, which I know she did because she paused as soon as it happened but continued to work anyway. I was also kind of disgusted because she used other tools on my nails, and even the cut finger, which is no where near sanitary for me and the next clients she'll be working on.

Overall my first nail salon visit was alright. I strongly believe that if the nail tech actually took her time and apologized for cutting my finger, I wouldn't have left as disappointed. I don't want to slander the name of the salon I went to, as you may I have noticed I left out the salon's name on purpose, because I would honestly go back to this salon again because they do do a good job. Also the prices are reasonable which is a big plus for me because I know some salons are ridiculously pricey. However I don't think I would go back to that specific location just to avoid getting that nail tech again and also just to avoid any awkward encounters with the rest of the staff because I'm sure word got around that I complained about my nail tech's job.

I really like having acrylic nails because they are super strong and it will take hell of a lot to break them, which is a plus for me because my nails break so easily! The only downside is that it sucks taking them off but either way I can see why people get their nails done all the time now. It's nice pampering yourself every once in a while!

What was your first nail salon experience like?

Camel has become the new black this fall/winter and I absolutely love it. Everyone who knows me knows that I am a big fan of neutrals and the minimal chic look, and the camel overcoat is just my cup of tea. It is a timeless classic and staple piece that anyone can pull off and that everyone, guy or girl, needs in their closet.

What I love most about a camel coat is that it instantly gives your outfit some sophistication and class. You can't help but feel like a bad bitch when you put one of these coats on along with a cute pair of heeled-booties.

I searched a couple sites to give you guys some options of where you guys can find a camel coat of your own so be sure to check them out and if you have any other suggestions let me know in the comments below because I'm still on the search for THE camel coats of camel coats as well >___<

Christmas wishlist 2015

Hi loves! Christmas is just 10 days away and although I didn't really want anything this year here are just a few things I've been eyeing lately and that I wouldn't mind finding under the Christmas tree this year ;)

1. Nike Zoom Pegasus 32
I have been in desperate need of new running shoes and these babies were calling to me as soon as I set eyes on them
2. Canon G7x
I've been wanting to start vlogging and I've done some research and this camera has been one of the top recommended cameras for vlogging. So I thought I'd give it a shot and having this camera would definitely make anyone's vlogging journey way easier
3. My very own pug
Although I refer to myself as "The Mother of Pugs" it's a misleading title because I don't even own a pug! I just have a weird, undying and unconditional love for pugs that I would foster and care for all the pugs in the world if I could. But I have yet to adopt my own pug and although getting a dog for Christmas is the ultimate cliche, having my own dog will always be on any wishlist I have
4. Sephora Gift Cards
There's nothing wrong with receiving gift cards as a present especially if those gifts cards are to Sephora! So when in doubt always go for the Sephora Gift Cards <3
5. Gudetama
This lazy egg captured my heart with it's lazy yet cute ways. He has been my latest obsession and I just want anything and everything related to him heh heh heh

What's on your guy's Christmas list this year? Anything on my list that caught your attention, let me know in the comments below, I would love to hear about it :)

What's on your guy's Christmas list this year? Anything on my list that caught your attention, let me know in the comments below, I would love to hear about it :)

1. Scream Queens
This show is the definition of "entertainment." It is basically a more violent and murderous version of "Mean Girls" and I did not expect to enjoy watching this show as much as I do. I recommend this to any fan out there of the movie "Mean Girls" and to anyone who doesn't mind ridiculous murderous humor, if that makes any sense.
2. Himouto! Umaru-Chan
Although only 12 episodes long this show was too cute not to mention and I am proud to say it made it to my top favorite shows of 2015. This show would always cheer me up when I was having a bad day and was just too cute too handle!
3. One Punch Man
I would always see screen caps of this show on tumblr and I never knew what the big deal was, but one day I decided, "What the heck I'll give it a shot," ever since then I've had no regrets except not having starting this show earlier! It's super hilarious yet full of action! A really good shonen anime if you're into that and just want something different to watch.
4. Gotham
Last but not least "Gotham." UGH. My heart and this show, I just love it so much and it never fails to have my full, undivided attention. This past season was just too good and I can't wait for it to come back in the fall. So for all you comic book fans and super hero lovers out there I would not pass up watching this show because it's just way too good to let it pass you by. Although I will admit I've heard a lot of avid comic book readers have mixed opinions on this show, but I feel overall the show is great and full of suspense, always leaving you wanting to know what's going to happen next.
Were you like me and binge-watched series after series? If so let me know what shows you watched down in the comments below! I need new shows to watch while I wait for these to come back lol

So I'm planning on getting my nails done for the first time soon and I have no idea what to expect lol. I have a general idea of what kind of nail design and shape I want but I'm torn between so many looks at the same time! And of course to help me with my small dilemma I went to Pinterest and Tumblr for some nail ideas.

M A U V E / N U D E
This is probably one of my top favorite pictures in this collection of photos I have for you guys. I love the polish color and although I never thought I would like the almond shape, this picture makes me feel some type of way lol. .
I'm also attracted to the "coffin" or "ballerina" shape as well, which is one of the shapes I'm torn in between. It's either the almond, coffin, or square shape. I did like the stiletto style for a little bit and I enjoyed the thought that if I were to ever be attacked by someone, having actual "claws" to scratch someone's face off (if need be) was somewhat reassuring. But for my first time getting my nails done I want to go a more "natural" route before experimenting with unnatural shapes.

D A R K / R E D
While I'm always more towards a neutral palette I loooooove dark nails and this color is absolutely stunning. If I were to just have a YOLO moment I feel this would be the first color I go to.

Speaking of dark colors, this picture is tempting me so hard to go for a red and this length looks daring but it adds some glam to your hands, if that makes any sense.

F I N A L V E R D I C T ?
Overall I think I am really leaning towards the picture above. I love the color, shape, and just about everything about this nail look.  I think I may go a little shorter in terms of length but if you can't already tell, I am no where near making final decision on how to get my nails done. I know it's not necessarily a big deal, but I just don't want my first time to be a bad experience (considering it's probably going to be expensive too, I want my money's worth lol)
Agh. I don't know.

What are some of your guy's favorite nail colors, nail polish brands, and nail style? Also what are some good nail salons you guys would recommend in your area?
Let me know in the comments below :)

Hi loves! So we're about to see an end to 2015 and I thought that I would share some of my favorites for the year. I will probably do separate posts according to categories like makeup, skin care, movies, food etc. Also I kind of wanted to make up for the lack of monthly favorites throughout the year.
To start off I decided to talk about my favorite makeup and skin care items that I've enjoyed using throughout the year.
M A K E U P

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in "Bow N Arrow"
Available at:
Sephora
This shade has been my go-to shade for the past month and I cannot stop wearing it. It's THE perfect nude-brown color and I had to buy it as soon as it restocked on the Sephora website. I even bought a backup one already because I know that I will definitely be needing one, also I didn't want to risk being able to get my hands on this again after it was sold out for almost half a year (or even longer!).

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Lip Liner Pencil in "1993"
Available at:
Sephora // Ulta // Urban Decay
This color was especially popular when it first came out, and still is! And it matches perfectly with the KVD's "Bow N Arrow" which is a huge plus for me. The liner is super creamy and blends out really well on the lips. And the color is super matte and pigmented and I just love love looooove it.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Polish in "Sand Storm"
Available at:
Walmart // CVS // Ulta
If you haven't noticed by now, I am a big fan of neutral colors and this nail polish color is no exception to that. I got so many compliments on this color and I'm sure it's going to be a daily nail color even for next year. The formula dries super fast and application is smooth.
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte  Bronzer in "Chocolate"
Available at :
Sephora // Ulta // Too Faced
Other than how delicious this bronzer smells, this has been my all time favorite bronzer ever since I first laid eyes on it. It has been in my daily makeup routine for the past 3-4 months and I don't think anything will ever top this because it just looks and smells amazing!
Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Primer
Available at:
Sephora // Ulta // Too Faced
This is my holy grail primer of all primers. It works wonders for my dry skin, which can get annoying when applying concealer and foundation because those dry patches get emphasized like crazy! But with this primer is really moisturizes my face and makes foundation application way easier. It's especially my favorite during the winter when my skin gets no kind of moisture and dries out from the harsh cold wind.
S K I N C A R E
Murad Skin Renewal Kit
Available at:
Sephora
I first heard about this skin care kit when Weylie went over it on her channel. And let me just say I have never been so in love with a skin care brand. After using this for almost a month now I can really see the difference in my skin and it just looks brighter and healthier over all. I also really love the scent and how citrus-y and refreshing it smells, which is perfect in the morning. After I use up this kit I'm definitely going to purchase the full size of this line because nothing else I have tried so far compares to this.
Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Power Eye Cream
Available at:
Sephora
I have been on the hunt for a good eye cream and of course one of the first brands I would go to is the beloved Origins. I was drawn toward this eye cream because it has anti-aging properties which is usually what I look for whenever I shop for skin care items. I don't really have anything to compare this to and I don't necessarily know if I see a dramatic difference since using this, but I do like the way it keeps my eyes hydrated and more firm looking. I've only been using this for a couple months now and so far so good.
Origins High-Potency Night-a-mins Skin Refining Oil
Available at:
Sephora
Calling this an "oil" is a complete over statement because this barely even has the consistency of an oil, it's more like a very thin serum and whenever I use this at night I wake up in the morning with brighter, firmer, and softer skin. I was pretty upset when I first got this though, not because there was anything wrong with the product, but I actually spilled it and lost about 75% of the product lol. I will definitely be repurchasing this whenever it runs out, which is pretty soon actually. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't really like night creams or heavy oils.
Origins Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel
Available at:
Sephora
This tiny little bottle packs such a strong punch when fighting any sudden break outs I have. I gave my boyfriend my first bottle of this and he's loved it ever since as well! A little goes a long way and if you ever find yourself breaking out before a special event just squeeze a little bit of this gel (which is 100% salicylic acid) onto a cotton swab and dab it on the blemish and it will stop the break out from forming any further. I would suggest to use this every other day because consistent use of this will dry out your skin causing dry patches wherever applied.
Tatcha Pure One-Step Camellia Cleansing Oil
Available at:
Sephora // Tatcha
Anyone who has been reading my blog for a while knows how much I stand by the Tatcha Cleansing Oil. It is THE best makeup remover I have ever used and is well worth the money, enough said. The formula is milky-smooth and easy to massage into the skin. I can use this to also remove my eye makeup without it burning which is a big plus for me because when I remove my makeup I just want to get rid of it all in one go and this does absolutely that.
Burt's Bees Cleansing Oil
Available at:
Ulta // Target
Speaking of cleansing oils, a cheaper alternative to the Tatcha cleansing oil is the Burt's Bees one. Although is has a runnier consistency it still gets the job done. I do warn those who use this though to not use it for removing eye makeup because it will burn your eyes.
What I like most about this cleansing oil is the price, it's $16 for 6 fluid ounces which is the same amount you get with the Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil but for literally half the price! And guess what? This cleansing oil also has argan oil in it along with coconut oil! So it's for real a win-win situation, an affordable price for the same amount of product.

What were some of your guy's makeup and or skin care products for the year of 2015? Let me know in the comments below because I'm always on the hunt to try out new products :)
